About

We at Middle Earth meditations have long fallen under the spell of myth and legend.

The Human race has a rich history of tales that were spun beside lonely fires before ever the Great Pyramids rose on the Giza plateau. They have become part of our heritage whether we are familiar with them or not.

Now, with films and computer games and books, we create tales that will, in time, add to this wonderful tradition, and in a thousand, ten thousand years time, humankind will still be 'Dream-Weaving.'

It is inherent to us as a race, and it is impossible to imagine a world without stories, is it not?

Indeed the human race could not exist without imagination, for even something as simple as the wheel was once just an idea in some-one's mind; imaginative minds took time to wonder what was possible, even seemingly impossible and now we have discovered the genome, look at pictures of the far reaches of space through satellites and at this moment, deep under a mountain in Europe, the Large Hadron Collider is performing experiments with atoms so small that some are simply theories.

Middle Earth Meditations is about relaxing one's body and freeing one's mind, taking it far away from the stresses and duties of everyday life, just for a time. It is about connecting with something that is often forgotten: Magic and mystery.

On the edge of sight and hearing,

They speak to souls that feel them,

Use your minds to weave their stories,

Out of half-remembered legend.

They were starfire, wildfire,

The heart-song of the Earth,

Now their world is drowned by time,

And the drift of fallen leaves.

A mist on the margin of autumn,

Moon-dappled shadows singing,

A touch on your mind in the twilight,

Harp-notes that fade with the dawning.

Draw their faces from the shadows,

Clothe them with ancient splendor,

Fire and seafoam, and the unfettered wind,

They who passed into dream, long ago.

The voice behind the Middle Earth Meditation audio recordings is that of Rick Clarke.

Rick is also an audio engineering enthusiast and amateur filmmaker, as well as a composer and arranger of several high quality music albums including his best selling royalty free ‘Orchestral Soundtracks’ which has been used in multiple TV and film applications since 2009.

Middle Earth Meditations is a micro-business run by a group of three 3 individuals with a passion for Middle Earth and all it represents, including a die-hard fan who has been reading the works of JRR Tolkien since the 1980's, and has been writing for many years. Amongst us we also have an amateur audio engineering enthusiast, and an amateur filmmaker, hence our ability to write, record and produce these fabulous recordings!

Meditations in Middle Earth Volume 1 is just the first in what we hope will become an ongoing series.
